Yes the book is very atrocious. The twins are clinically honest to situations. The greatest example is letting their father run over the landmine across the border to trace a safe path for one to go. I think what Agota Kristoff brings forth is the ultimate apathy- war is only about survival and nothing else.

I made this soup for dinner tonight, and it is sooo good. I wasn't so sure how it would turn out with the mix of ingredients and spices, but it really came out well. I think the spice level was perfect, not over-powering.

I will definetly make this again!

My advice (as another Twitter newbie) is follow follow follow. I don't mind who follows me back (though it's always cool when you get a dialogue going with another book lover), because I'm mostly on Twitter to learn about the book industry. In terms of what you'd tweet, I pretty much tweet something if I'd say it at a dinner party - whether it's interesting to me, or funny

I tried Twitter but just couldn't get into it. Perhaps it's because I need longer than the maximum number of characters allowed in a Tweet. Besides, it's just like updating your status on Facebook but without everything else to go along with it.
